BDO has strengthened its audit practice through the appointment of two new partners.

Matthew Haverson will now join the firm as a partner in its technology and media team. He joins from PwC and will be based in London

According to the firm, Haverson has several years of experience working with a variety of businesses in the technology sector, ranging from smaller businesses looking to scale-up, to larger, listed firms.

In addition, David Perry also joins as a partner, with a focus on businesses operating in betting, gaming and the hospitality sector. Prior to his appointment, he worked at Deloitte

Perry is said to bring with him vast experience working in the audit and advisory space, with clients from start-ups to FTSE 250 firms. In previous roles, he spent time supporting businesses across a range of sectors including consumer markets, real estate, technology and media and manufacturing.

Paul Eagland, managing partner at BDO, said: “I am pleased to be able to welcome Matthew and David to the firm today, who both bring a great deal of expertise and years of experience with them.

“These appointments come as part of our ongoing investment in our audit capabilities and resources. As the profession continues to go through a historic period of reform, we remain committed to providing the highest level of quality audits.”

Since January, BDO has appointed 14 external and 20 internal individuals as partner.
