EY has announced the acquisition of Lane4 Management Group Holdings Limited (Lane4), a UK consultancy that specialises in “leadership and team development, organisational performance, transformation and culture change”.

The firm said the acquisition will support the EY People Advisory Services’ growth ambition by helping “strengthen” its transformational leadership and culture change capabilities, and reputation in the market.

Some 130 people, serving 100 clients of Lane4, will join the EY People Advisory Services teams, operating as EY Lane4.

It said that the “combination” of EY and Lane4 teams will reach more people – “putting humans at the centre to help them develop the skills and mindset to achieve things they may have not thought possible before”.

Lane4’s complementary suite of digital assets, knowledge and teams of “highly skilled” people, combined with the broad reach of EY services, will enable the provision of digital ‘learning for all’ subscription services on a large scale.

Tricia Nelson, managing partner for People Advisory Services, UK and Ireland EY, said: “The acquisition of the business of Lane4 represents a significant investment and aims to strengthen the EY position as a leading organisation providing leadership development and large-scale, culture and transformational leadership projects.

“It demonstrates the EY ambition, commitment, and dedication to exceeding EY clients’ expectations across the UK and the world. We look forward to welcoming Lane4’s teams to the EY organisation and serving their clients at what is an exciting period of ambitious growth and development for EY People Advisory Services.”

She added: “The combination of EY and Lane4 professionals is a powerful force in developing leaders of the future. Lane4’s ambition to improve working lives, together with EY purpose of Building a better working world, will help develop transformational leaders by engaging with clients in truly innovative and ground-breaking ways.”

Adrian Moorhouse, Lane4 MD and founder said: “We look forward to becoming part of the EY organisation and supporting the EY People Advisory Services. Our purpose has always been to improve working lives.

“The powerful combination of EY and Lane4 teams means that we can reach even more leaders and more people as we help clients to reimagine their working worlds and improve the performance of their teams and businesses. Together we will unleash the power of our combined teams.”
