An FCCA, Sarah Lake specialises in both business process improvement and project management

Knill James, a firm of chartered accountants based in Lewes, has announced the appointment of Sarah Lake as its new practice director.

An FCCA, Lake specialises in both business process improvement and project management.

She joins the group from Shaftesbury Young People, where she acted as COO and led the charity through a period of transformation into a grant-making trust.

David Martin, joint managing partner at Knill James, said that the group is “delighted” for Lake to join the firm.

He added: “With her expertise in business process improvement, she is ideally placed to drive the enhancement of our internal systems and procedures which will enable us to grow and at the same time deliver improved service to our clients.”

Prior to her role at Shaftesbury, Lake commenced her career at PwC before working in banking and finance at Close Bros for 15 years.

She said: “I’m very excited by this opportunity to use my knowledge and experience to improve Knill James’ systems and processes to support the continued growth of the practice.”
