Throne Widgery, a chartered accountancy firm, has announced the appointment of James Clifford as the group’s Ludlow office manager.

Through the addition of Clifford, the group intends to further cement its position in the region, having entered Ludlow three years ago.

A chartered Xero advisor and holder of the ACCA accreditation, Clifford joins the group from a previous position in the Black Country.

He said that in the new role, he hopes to “continue to grow” while also working to “strengthen our operations in Ludlow”.

Daniel Crowther, CEO at Thorne Widgery, said: “I can’t believe it has only been three years since we opened our Ludlow office.

“So much has changed in this time and we have been blown away by the local support we continue to receive.”

He added: “It’s great that we have James joining us and I would like to wish him the best of luck as he builds new, lasting relationships with clients and contacts across Shropshire.”
