Azets names Paul Haley as audit director

Azets has announced the appointment of Paul Haley as director of audit and assurance for the group’s Wales and South West operations.

Haley will be tasked with leading the firm’s internal audit services, as well as acting on the senior leadership team in the area.

He intends to expand the regional presence of azets, growing its client base and supporting the company’s long-term growth strategy.

Paul Bowden, partner at Azets Swansea, said: “I am delighted to welcome Paul into our Wales and South West region to lead the local delivery of our internal audit service for existing clients and the wider marketplace. 

“Azets has incredibly strong internal audit credentials, and the array of clients attracted through this service line offering is very impressive.”

Based from the group’s Cardiff office, Haley will specialise in internal audit services, bringing over 30 years of experience to the position.

Most recently internal audit manager at Tata Steel Europe, he has also worked in public sector internal audit across a number of roles.

Moreover, Haley has acted as director of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors and past president of Barry Chamber of Trade.

Bowden added that he will provide the group with “considerable professional experience” in turn developing its reputation as a “nationally recognised leading internal audit firm” in the UK.
