Chartered accountancy practice Wylie and Bisset has announced three senior appointments to its business recovery and insolvency department.

The trio of managerial signings will join from the insolvency practitioner, mlm Solutions, as the firm looks to capitalise on its confidence in the market.

Formerly a managing director at mlm Solutions, Maureen Leslie revealed that she is “delighted” to become a consultant at such a “highly professional and well-established team”.

Leslie will be joined on 1 February by Barry Mochan, who will act as director and personal insolvency practitioner, while March will see Elaine Ramage appointed to Wylie and Bisset in a senior manager position.

Donald McKinnon, managing partner at the company, said: “Our existing insolvency team has been working exceptionally hard during this pandemic alongside all our staff and I am proud of their tremendous efforts and vital contributions to keep the business running smoothly.

“But rather than simply maintaining an efficient business operation, we are always looking to the future to identify how we can further develop our practice.”

He added that alongside the group’s insolvency partner, Gordon Chalmers, the firm has been “developing a growth strategy” that will be facilitated by the new additions.
