PKF Francis Clark has announced the appointment of Paul Bray as the new head of the accountancy firm’s Bristol office.

Bray has taken over as lead partner and will oversee the firm’s continued expansion in the city and surrounding areas.

Well-known in Bristol’s business community, Bray succeeds Mike Lea and will be working closely with corporate tax partner Stuart Rogers and audit partner Paul Putnam to deliver accountancy services to the firm’s clients.

Starting his career with HMRC, Bray has spent 22 years working for a national accountancy firm and joined PKF Francis Clark in June 2019.

Bray said: “I’m proud of the team we have built here and excited about the opportunity to lead the next phase of our growth in a city I know and love, having worked in Bristol for more than 30 years.

“We have come a long way since we opened the office 18 months ago, as the team has been steadily winning new clients and gaining a larger foothold in the city and wider region.”

He added: “Some experienced hires with great reputations in the Bristol business community have been key to this success.

“The team has been working extremely hard to help our clients succeed and I’m grateful for their efforts, especially given the challenges brought by Covid-19.
