Business advisory firm Quantuma has continued to expand its Thames Valley team with the appointment of a new director, Michael Hall.

Hall is a chartered certified accountant and insolvency practitioner and will be joining Quantuma with over 20 years’ experience working within the finance, accounting and restructuring arenas, including 10 years at a top 100 accountancy firm.

Throughout his career, Hall has specialised in providing bespoke rescue solutions for SMEs in the Home Counties across a variety of sectors including retail, hospitality, manufacturing, consultancy and construction.

Prior to joining Quantuma, he spent 10 years in the restructuring and insolvency team of a large regional firm of chartered accountants in an appointment taking role. More recently, Michael was appointed as associate at a smaller niche firm, where he successfully established a Guildford office to support local businesses and advisors.

In his new role at Quantuma, Hall will be a member of the senior leadership team in the Thames Valley, working with local accountants, solicitors and financiers to provide the best practical advice and solutions for solvent and insolvent businesses across the region.

The news follows the appointment of director Nick Parsk earlier this year and marks the “next period of growth” for the Quantuma Thames Valley team, which has been bolstered by a number of key appointments over the past 12 months.

Michael Hall, director at Quantuma, said: “Now is a very challenging time for businesses across the UK and Quantuma has been at the forefront of providing critical advisory services to businesses in distress. I’m excited to be joining an already strong team in the Thames Valley, and to be supporting local businesses as we navigate our way through this pandemic.”

Chris Newell, partner at Quantuma, added: “We continue to see a growth in demand for our advisory services across the Thames Valley, and have further strengthened the team with a director who has considerable experience of the local market.

“Michael’s commercial background, coupled with his specialised knowledge of the Thames Valley region, will bring further valuable experience to an already growing team and I am delighted by this appointment.”
