UHY Hacker Young names new head of cloud accounting

Accountancy group UHY Hacker Young has announced the appointment of Rebecca Roberts as national head of cloud accounting.

In her new role, Roberts will coordinate the UK wide cloud accounting team across UHY Hacker Young’s 19 offices and head up delivery of the group’s digital change programme. 

Roberts joined UHY Hacker Young in 2018 and is based at UHY’s Nottingham office. Prior to joining the firm, she trained and worked at two other mid-tier firms.

She has specialised in cloud accounting throughout her career, working with owner managed businesses across a wide range of sectors to implement cloud accounting and improve business efficiency and performance.

UHY Hacker Young said that during the Covid-19 lockdown, many more businesses have been “switching to cloud accounting due to social distancing and remote working”. Roberts has assisted “numerous clients” to select and implement cloud accounting systems tailored to their specific needs and aims.

He added: “As well as implementing cloud accounting systems, Rebecca has the knowledge and experience to help clients use data to make key decisions for their future growth.

“We get really good feedback from our clients on cloud accounting and with the appointment of Rebecca to this role we will continue to focus on developing this area of our offering.”
