Audit, tax and consulting firm RSM has announced the appointment of Katie Morrison as partner in its Glasgow office.

Morrison joins from ‘Big Four’ accountancy firm KPMG, where she held the position of audit director.

She has over 18 years of experience working in corporate audit, ranging from owner manager to fully listed companies. Her sector expertise includes house building, construction, manufacturing, retail and shipping.

RSM’s Scottish team comprises nearly 300 partners and staff.

Alan Aitchison, office managing partner RSM Glasgow, said: “We are delighted that Katie has joined RSM. As we continue to invest, even in this difficult time, Katie’s experience is a great addition to our team and will be invaluable in supporting clients in Glasgow and across Scotland.”

Morrison added: “What really attracted me to RSM is its growth ambitions, with a clear strategy and commitment to Scotland. It’s great to be joining an experienced team who have the drive to take the business forward.”

The news comes as RSM announced it has partnered with Enterprise City to become its audit, tax and consulting partner.

The partnership will see RSM deliver business advice, seminars and panels to members of its exchange business programme, designed to support early-stage tech companies.
