MHA MacIntyre Hudson has appointed Chris Rising as internal audit director.

Rising will lead the company’s internal audit service line across its education, charity and corporate client base, and will be based at the firm’s London office.

He has over 20 years of experience in the field of audit and specialises in developing innovative approaches to internal audit and in helping businesses manage their key risks. He began his career at RSM as a graduate. During his time there, Rising worked across a large portfolio of clients in the not for profit and charity sectors.

At MHA MacIntyre Hudson his role, in addition to leading standard audit work, will be to develop and grow the service line, strengthening the company’s presence in its traditional sectors while also expanding into new markets.

Rakesh Shaunak, group chairman, said: “Chris has extensive experience in supporting organisations to plan strategically for their key risks, and develop new forward-thinking methods of audit.

“These skills will help us continue to enhance our service line and further enhance a team that delivers its work to the highest professional standards.”

Rising added: “The opportunity to join the team at MHA appealed greatly to me. Being able to work closely with clients to produce an audit strategy that covers every aspect of their operation is a vital service that ultimately allows them to understand both their risks and business potential.

“I am looking forward to helping continue MHA’s culture of bringing real innovation to the services they offer clients.”
