Leicester-based chartered accountants Rowley’s has appointed former director at Grant Thorton, Tom Copson, to its mid-market team.

Copson has been appointed director as well as a partner at the east-Midlands firm.

Prior to spending 14 years at Grant Thorton, he spent five years at Rowley’s in his early profession, where he developed a reputation for helping both national and international ‘mid-market’ businesses.

He has also held positions as an audit senior at The Rowley’s Partnership in 2001 for over four years.

Copson said: “Rowleys has always enjoyed a fantastic reputation for high-quality work and good client service, so, when I decided my long term future lay with a more independent firm, they were the firm I wanted to talk to.

“As soon the partners explained their vision for the firm and how they operate now I could see how innovative and agile they were. I felt that I could add value to the firm with my experience and give a more improved offering to those private mid-market businesses I enjoy working within the East Midlands.”

Robert Radford, managing director at Rowley’s added: “Tom’s arrival will allow us to offer mid-market businesses all of the experience they need and deliver it with the level of service they want.”
