Leonard Curtis has appointed James Dempster as senior manager within the groups business rescue and recovery division.
Dempster joins the group following 16 years, working at KPMG, he has worked on a wide range of advisory and insolvency engagements across various industry sectors, including some of the largest and most high-profile Scottish insolvencies.
Leonard Curtis opened its first Scottish office in Glasgow in January 2017. It now has over 18 firms across the UK and Channel Islands.
Commenting on his appointment, Dempster said he was “delighted” to join the team in Glasgow.
“Being able to provide a wide range of services and support to under performing and distressed businesses of all sizes appealed to me. There’s a real focus on turnaround and recovery here – particularly in relation to insolvency avoidance measures.”
He added: “SMEs make up 99% of Scotland’s private sector businesses and provide 1.2 million jobs to the nation’s economy. It’s important to support them and help them to succeed and grow.”
