Accountancy firm, PwC has announced plans to appoint 40 new members of staff at its new Galway hub.

Plans for the new hub, located at One Galway Central, will see PwC, which is the largest accountancy firm in Ireland, more than double its headcount over the next two years. The new site was launched in April, with a visit from former Taoiseach and current TD Enda Kenny.

Feargal O’Rourke, managing partner of PwC Ireland, said: “Our move to One Galway Central demonstrates our belief in the Galway market and our firm’s commitment to further invest in the region. It is a very important development for PwC which enables us to grow, provide value to our clients, and develop and retain key talent.

Kenny added: “Galway and the west are very important for Ireland’s continued economic growth and job opportunities. It is great to see organisations such as PwC helping drive this success.”
