The Manchester branch of the accounting firm Haines Watts became the first branch to receive CSR-Accreditation.
According to the CSR-A, accreditation is based upon a common-sense approach which maps the journey and begins with the directors and employees own assessment of current efforts to be socially responsible.
CSR-A will also publish the Haines Watts Manchester Social Impact Report, which details the company’s CSR activities and measures them against a standard.
The announcement was made by Richard Collins, CEO of CSR-Accreditation.
He said: “We are delighted to be working with Haines Watts – the values of the company reflect a commitment to CSR. We hope that the Manchester branch will be the first of many Haines Watts branches to become accredited.
“We believe the professional services sector will benefit significantly from demonstrating a return on social investment in terms of staff engagement, retention, recruitment, tendering, supply chain management and brand visibility.”
David Fort, managing director of Haines Watts Manchester, said: “We were delighted to have achieved Silver CSR Accreditation by the end of 2022. However, our impact journey continues, and with the help of CSR-A, we have identified the gaps so we can revise our impact framework and continue to make positive changes in our business going forward.”
