TC group has announced that it has completed its merger with North East-based accountancy firm Murray and Lamb to become TC Murray and Lamb.
TC Group said Murray and Lamb has been trading and providing business advice since 1998 and has become “one of the most trusted and reliable” independent professional accounting firms in the North East.
Murray and Lamb hope the merger will allow them to grow its client base and offer a greater range of services.
Stephen Murray, Murray and Lamb partner, said: “TC shares our values and exceeded expectations when it came to looking for a merger partner. It was important to us that any partner could continue our tradition for excellent service, application of skills and knowledge, while at the same time maintaining an environment that our clients and associates want to be part of.”
Richard Keyes, TC CEO, added: “Murray and Lamb is a trusted and highly regarded firm of business advisers and accountants who provide an outstanding service to their clients in the North East.
“By joining TC Group they give another major boost to our representation across the country as a whole, and in our ability to service clients across the North of England. Murray and Lamb’s addition to TC Group represents, once again, our strategy of joining forces with ambitious firms who wish to merge and grow. We are also very grateful to WJP Brokerage Limited who recognised the potential synergy between us and made the initial introduction.”
