EY has announced that 1,033 people have been promoted to partner across the globe, marking the largest ever cohort of new partners. 

Women and the Assurance service line represented 32% and 33% of this year’s new partner class, respectively. Similarly, emerging markets made up nearly a third of new partners, at 32%.

On a geographical basis, EY member firms in Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA) had the largest proportion of new partners, with 423 promotions (41%) followed by the Americas area with 398 promotions (39%). New partners in EY member firms in the Asia-Pacific area totaled 212 (20%).

By service line, Assurance accounted for the largest proportion of partner promotions with 344 (33%). It was followed by Consulting, with 265 (26%); Strategy and Transactions, with 171 (16%) and Tax, with 235 (23%). Additionally, there are 18 new partners in business support (2%).
