Grant Thornton UK LLP has strengthened its Milton Keynes-based audit team with the appointment of Charlotte Anderson as partner.

In her new role Anderson will work across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire covering a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, services, automotive, health and education.

Anderson joined Grant Thornton following 16 years at KPMG, where she developed “particular expertise” in the mid-market, advising private, equity-backed and AIM-listed companies.

The appointment is the latest senior addition to Grant Thornton’s expanding Milton Keynes office, following the recruitment of corporate finance partner Mike Tillson, audit director Hannah Cox and clients and markets director Jon Bramwell.

Anderson said: “Grant Thornton has a fantastic, multi-disciplinary team in Milton Keynes. In a period of significant change for the audit market, we have a great opportunity to continue to grow our client base as businesses seek out advisors committed to excellent service and value.

“Joining the partnership is a brilliant opportunity for me to focus on the region’s thriving mid-market and to pursue my passion for supporting ambitious businesses as they grow and innovate.”

James Brown, partner and practice leader at Grant Thornton in the region, said: “Charlotte is a dynamic and talented practitioner who is in tune with the challenges and opportunities before mid-market firms as they recover from the pandemic.”
