Azets has announced the appointment of Matthew Allan as an associate director at the group’s Aberdeen office.

Joining the group’s audit team, Allan will provide the position with experience auditing businesses in the O&G, food and drink, construction, manufacturing, retail, and family business sectors.

Moreover, Allan also brings expertise in both International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) and UK Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (UKGAAP) to the role.

David Booth, regional managing partner at Azets, said that Allan’s “technical expertise and sector experience” will support the firm as it looks to “grow our audit service line across the North East of Scotland”.

He added: “Matthew will play a key role as we grow the business and a central role in the day to day running of our audit service line.

“Matthew has the ability to progress quickly within the firm and we are looking forward to welcoming him to our new offices in Albyn Place.”

The appointment follows Azets Aberdeen’s recent announcement that it plans to create a further 20 jobs by 2023 across a range of positions and levels of seniority.
