PKF Littlejohn has expanded its Financial Services team with the appointment of Garin McFarlane as partner, following nearly two decades at Big Four firms in London and Cape Town.

Most recently an Audit director in the Insurance Audit practice at a Big Four firm, McFarlane brings with him a wealth of industry experience and knowledge, having worked extensively with insurance carriers and Lloyd’s syndicates providing audit, assurance, and advisory services in both South Africa and the UK.

At PKF, he will focus on audit and assurance services to insurance carriers, Lloyd’s Syndicates and brokers, building on the firm’s well-established practice and further bolstering the team’s rapidly expanding capabilities in this space.

McFarlane said: “This is a really exciting time to be joining PKF Littlejohn. I have built my practice undertaking largescale, complex audits for some of the major industry players and look forward to drawing upon this experience in my new role. PKF Littlejohn is becoming increasingly known as the ‘go to’ firm in the insurance and broker space, and I’m looking forward to getting stuck in and contributing to the ongoing growth and success of the team.”

Commenting on his arrival, Dominic Roberts, managing partner of PKF Littlejohn, added: “As we expand, it is essential that we invest in our team and bring in new, top-tier colleagues who can continue to push us forward and provide the people-focused service that our clients have come to expect.

“Garin’s highly impressive experience, deep industry knowledge and ability to build strong relationships perfectly complement our existing strengths, and he will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in our continued growth and success. His addition to the team is another exciting step forward, and we are delighted to have him onboard.”
