TaxAssist has announced that Karen Goncalves has recently joined its accountants network and is set to open a new site in Woking.

Goncalves is currently fitting out a TaxAssist shop at 34 High Street, Knaphill, Woking, GU21 2PY.

Goncalves said: “I am excited about launching TaxAssist Accountants in Woking. I have many years’ accountancy, finance and business experience behind me and I’m looking forward to meeting clients and adding value beyond the finance function.

“Through TaxAssist, my clients can benefit from a full range of services, including self-assessment tax returns, year-end accounts, payroll and bookkeeping, as well as R&D tax credits, employment law, business-starts ups, debt recovery, assisting with business planning and cash flow management.”

Earlier this year TaxAssist Accountants reported that its UK network sales rose a “record” 44% in January this year compared with December 2023 and up over 12.4% on January 2023.

The firm attributed its performance to increased shop walk-ins, referrals and its “innovative” marketing campaigns, which have helped drive new business during the January tax season.
