Dunkley’s Chartered Accountants has appointed Joe Weston as its fourth director.

Weston has been with the firm for over eight years, having joined in 2015 as an apprentice.

The firm said that in this time, he has “grown into a pivotal figure” within the group, achieving both the ACCA and CIOT qualifications, along with developing an “in-depth level of practical experience and expertise”.

Weston said: “Our motto is that we are big enough to deliver the depth of knowledge and services of a large corporate firm, but small enough to be personable and approachable individuals. I’m very much looking forward to this new role and all I can bring to it.”

Dunkley’s appointed two new directors in 2016, Lisa White and Matthew Dobbins.

White said: “We are an independent business built from the ground up. From Mike Dunkley in a bedroom office with his cat, to now a team of almost 60. Joe has been a great asset to the business and we’re looking forward to working with him to further expand the firm together. It’s an exciting time for the Dunkley’s team.”

Dunkley’s have hired 21 new staff members since July 2022 in a big push post-covid.

It is working on bespoke services and business advisory as growth areas, with property and not-for-profit as areas of expertise.
