The Bishop Fleming corporate finance team, which was led by Martyn Fraser and Joe Coghlan, has provided corporate finance to DataShapa’s acquisition by Transparity Solutions.
DataShapa, which is a Microsoft Gold Certified data strategy and business intelligence practice was established in 2016 by Alister Jones to enable data-driven strategies within the Microsoft environment for some of the UK’s largest businesses.
As part of this, the practice utilises the latest tools in machine learning and AI to drive powerful insights and change the way its clients see their data.
Beech Tree Private Equity-backed Transparity is a Microsoft pure play technology partner, focused on becoming the “most respected” partner in the UK for Microsoft Cloud Services.
Transparity specialises in providing consultancy, development and managed services on Azure, Microsoft Security, Microsoft 365, and Dynamics. Today, Transparity holds all six Solution Designations, 16 Advanced Specialisations with Microsoft, an MXDR-certified cyber offering, as well as the highly acclaimed ‘Azure Expert MSP’ status.
The deal will further enhance Transparity’s data science and business intelligence offering, creating a powerful value added client proposition.
Jones said: “I am grateful to the Bishop Fleming team for their efforts in delivering this transaction. They were a pleasure to work with, with their experience and calm and considered approach key to delivering a transaction that achieves all our objectives.”
Coghlan added: “It has been a pleasure working with Alister and the team at Datashapa on this deal. This is the latest in a series of transactions in this sector we have worked on.”
