Thomas Westcott is a leading firm of chartered accountants in the South West of England, who have been active in the region for over 30 years. The group was founded by current chairman Richard Thomas, who started the firm in 1985. For the last decade, for the financial years ended 30 April, Thomas Westcott decided not to disclose a copy of its profit and loss account as part of an audit, so any definitive financial results are unavailable.
The company was entitled to exemption from audit under section 480 of the Companies Act 2006.
Alison Watts, head of the firm’s corporate finance team, was made a partner of Thomas Westcott. With three decades of experience in the corporate finance industry, Watts joined the firm in 2017. She is based out of the company’s Exeter office and works with directors and business owners, advising on start-ups, expansion plans and exit strategies.
On her promotion, Watts said: “I am delighted to have been made a partner of Thomas Westcott and this position allows me to be more involved in the strategic direction of the firm.
