Founded in 1907, Streets is a firm of chartered accountants that has supported the accountancy, tax, financial, and business advisory needs of its clients for over a century.
The group acts across 15 offices in Bedford (Wyboston Lakes), Brighton and Hove, Cambridge, Grantham and Newark, Hull, Lincoln, London, Manchester, Newmarket, Northampton, Peterborough, Sheffield, and Stevenage.
Some 36 partners and over 200 staff members work at Streets, under the leadership of Paul Tutin, chairman and managing partner at the firm.
Despite trading under the umbrella of Streets Chartered Accountants, the group is registered under a raft of different names, including Streets, Streets Northern, Streets Whitmarsh Sterland, Streets Audit, Streets Tax, and Streets London.
As a full-service firm, Streets offers audit and assurance services, indirect and direct tax advisory and compliance services, as well as corporate finance and employment tax advisory services to its clients.
The group also provides a range of less traditional offerings, including corporate governance, foreign exchange, insight, Making Tax Digital (MTD), probate, payroll services, registered office, self-assessment, HR, forensic accounting, and cloud accounting.
As for the industries and areas that Streets brings expertise to its clients in, these stretch across agriculture, bloodstock and equestrian, charities, education, healthcare, international trade, manufacturing, family businesses, private clients, property and construction, professional sports, startups, and solicitors and law firms.
Streets also gives international compliance and advisory services for those trading overseas through SBC Global Alliance, the group’s own international association of specialist advisory firms.
Streets claims to operate with an annualised fee income of £20m.
Split into Streets LLP, Streets Northern LLP, and Streets Whitmarsh Sterland LLP, the group’s filings on Companies House show a respective £624,242, £122,418, and £778,648 in net current assets as of 30 June 2020.
Net assets at Streets Tax LLP and Streets Audit LLP sat at £337,466 and £170,303 during the same period.
Most recently, Streets expanded its bloodstock industry capabilities with the formation of Streets Bloodstock this April. The move saw Mill House Bloodstock Services and Peppits Accountancy, headed up by Robert Levitt and Sarah Watkins respectively, merge with the group under the new name.
The group also announced a partnership between Streets Financial Consulting plc and the banking and finance consultant, Martyn Shakespear, to offer increased business and financial support to its clients.
Further appointments thus far in 2021 at the firm have come in the form of Sarah Williams as a business development partner and Mustafa Rafiko as a corporate tax partner.
