Business advisory firm Quantuma has completed the sale of Surrey-based engineering firm, Becon Precision Engineering, out of administration. The deal has safeguarded the future of the business and protected all jobs.   

Chris Newell and Jo Leach as joint administrators on 28 April 2026 to oversee the process, and has seen staff transferred to the client, Vision Engineering Limited, under TUPE regulations.

Becon Precision Engineering manufactures, which was established in 2001 produces high quality machine components for the company’s sector specialisms including oil and gas, fire protection and defence. In 2013, the business moved from a 1,000 square foot unit into a 6,000 square foot factory, based in Byfleet, Surrey

The business has experienced a number of challenging circumstances in recent years, inheriting significant debt and a reduction in turnover as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Following an accelerated sales and marketing campaign, the joint administrators from Quantuma were appointed and they secured the pre-pack sale of the company.

Newell, joint administrator and managing director at Quantuma, said: “I am very pleased to have achieved such a positive outcome for this well-established business, ensuring that all employees’ jobs have been saved. 

“We are delighted to have secured the long-term viability of the business, allowing it to continue its journey, whilst supported by a buyer with the ability to take Becon forwards. We wish the team every success in their next chapter.”
