Grant Thornton’s International Women in Business Report warns that global gender parity in senior management won’t be achieved until 2051 without immediate action. Women hold just 34% of senior leadership roles globally, rising by only 0.5% since 2024. However, the UK leads progress, with women in senior positions increasing by 2% to 36%, surpassing the global average. Businesses with no women in leadership have dropped to 2% in the UK. Despite improvements, Grant Thornton’s Jenn Barnett stressed the need for stronger diversity efforts. The report found UK businesses setting gender equality targets in recruitment, leadership, and pay strategies. PKF Littlejohn Advisory has been appointed as joint administrators of The Feversham Arms Hotel in North Yorkshire. Despite the administration, the hotel continues normal operations, with all staff retained and bookings honored. The hotel, which includes the Verbena Spa, has been owned by Feversham Arms Limited since 2008. Administrator Oliver Collinge assured customers that deposits, vouchers, and future bookings remain valid. He highlighted strong market interest in the 33-room luxury hotel, citing its desirable location and upscale amenities. The property will soon be marketed for sale, with expectations of securing a buyer to ensure its long-term future.
