PwC has named Katie Johnston as its new local and devolved government leader. She has been with PwC for seven years, serving as a partner for the past three. Johnston will lead efforts to support public sector clients in navigating critical challenges, including economic performance and sustainable service delivery. Rachel Taylor, leader of government and health industries at PwC, praised Johnston’s passion and sector expertise, which are expected to deliver meaningful impact for public sector clients.

Saint and Co Chartered Accountants has welcomed three new hires to its audit team: Tom Page, Yasir Saeed, and Viraj Naik. Page brings experience from Deloitte’s Manchester office, Saeed from PwC and international markets, and Naik from a leading Middle Eastern firm. These appointments enhance the firm’s capabilities and will support clients from Saint and Co’s Carlisle office. KPMG UK has appointed Natalie Macfadyen as head of its Aberdeen office, overseeing a team of 100. Macfadyen, an R&D tax specialist with 10 years at KPMG, was promoted to tax director in 2022. She succeeds Paula Holland, who held the role for two years. Macfadyen aims to strengthen KPMG’s presence in Aberdeen, focusing on key sectors like energy and supporting the region’s energy transition. Vishal Chopra, Scotland’s senior partner, commended her leadership and expertise, noting the local economy’s transformation.
