EY’s global revenues rose by 3.9% to $51.2bn in FY24, driven by growth across all service lines. Tax saw the highest increase at 6.3%, followed by Assurance with the same percentage growth. Strategy and Transactions (SaT) and Consulting grew by 2.3% and 0.1%, respectively. EY continues to invest in AI to support client transformation and plans to expand its AI capabilities in FY25. EY also reported a 40% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, aided by initiatives that reduced travel-related emissions by 42% since FY19. The firm launched a new strategy, “All in,” focused on innovation and diversity.

Haysmacintyre has appointed Andrew Barford as its newest audit partner, expanding its team to 40 partners. Barford, who has extensive experience in audit and corporate finance from his time with Big Four firms, will enhance Haysmacintyre’s audit practice during a period of double-digit growth. The firm, which has over 550 staff, advises fast-growing businesses and not-for-profit organisations in the UK and internationally. Barford expressed excitement about joining the award-winning firm, highlighting its strong culture and client service focus. Managing Partner Natasha Frangos praised Barford’s expertise in supporting private equity and entrepreneurial clients.

Blick Rothenberg has strengthened its global mobility services by appointing David Livitt and James Wheeler as new partners. Livitt will lead the Southern UK team, while Wheeler will manage operations in the Midlands and North. Both partners bring extensive experience, with Wheeler having led global mobility teams at Big Four firms. Their appointments mark Blick Rothenberg’s continued expansion, offering specialist expatriate tax and payroll services across the UK. Rehana Earle, head of global mobility, highlighted the firm’s commitment to regional growth and its ability to support clients in managing a competitive global workforce.

Worcestershire-based Ballards LLP has welcomed a new cohort of graduates across its business services, accounts, audit, and corporate tax teams. The new recruits will undergo a structured training program designed to blend hands-on experience with professional development. This intake comes as the firm expands with a new office in Worcester’s Diglis Basin.
