FRC appoints 19 new member to advisory panel

The panel is a group of appointed non-executive subject matter specialists, who are called on to provide advice and input across the breadth of the FRC’s activities

The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has announced the appointment of 19 new members to its advisory panel with immediate effect.

The panel is a group of appointed non-executive subject matter specialists, who are called on to provide advice and input across the breadth of the FRC’s activities.

Joining the panel is Alice Bordini Staden, David Thomas, Deborah Gilshan, Eamonn McGrath, Fiona Hathorn, Fiona Sheridan, Gal Maller, Gareth Rhys Williams and Mardi McBrien.

Also joining the panel is Mei Ashelford, Pamela Stacey, Peter Andrews, Roger Harrington, Roger Steare, Samantha Griffiths, Simon Gleadhill, Tom Gosling, Tracey Groves and Una Curtis.

McGrath is a retired chartered accountant from Ernst & Young where was an audit partner for over 30 years. Rhys Williams brings experience covering a range of business situations including developing growth strategies and M&A.

He is currently the government chief commercial officer of the Cabinet Office having involvement in all major commercial transactions and disputes across the government.

In addition, McBrien joins the panel equipped with comprehensive knowledge of climate, environmental and ESG regulatory activity globally. She is currently a non-financial reporting standard setting leader.
