Fortus acquires HJS Accountants

The deal will support Fortus’ Reading operations, providing tax and accountancy services to the company’s Thames Valley client base

Fortus, a business advisory and accountancy firm, has announced its acquisition of HJS Accountants.

The deal will support Fortus’ Reading operations, providing tax and accountancy services to the company’s Thames Valley client base.

Fortus will now benefit from additional expertise in a range of areas, including property and asset management, business performance improvement, and corporate finance.

Gordon Johnston, executive director at Fortus, said: “I’m delighted that Mark and the team at Reading are joining Fortus. The whole team are highly regarded by their clients and the wider business community. 

“It’s an exciting time for all business owners across Reading and the Thames Valley area as the team will have greater access to specialist support including expertise in international taxation issues.”

The transaction also sees Mark Rogers, director at HJS in Reading, join Fortus as a director at the firm.
