Eight new directors for PwC Scotland

The annual promotions have taken place across the firm’s Edinburgh, Aberdeen, and Glasgow offices

PwC in Scotland has announced a total of eight director appointments across its assurance, tax, and advisory practices.

The new roles will see Morbeen Ahmad and Kristy Boyle focus on auditing asset and wealth management clients for the company’s assurance practice, while Emma Sutherland and Neil Muir are promoted to directors in tax.

Elsewhere, PwC’s deals practice will now see Will Barrie as its transaction services director, joining the recently recruited Nick McLaren in an area expected to be “key to the economic recovery”.

Susan King will take on the responsibilities of director at the financial services risk assurance business, with Lesly Potts becoming consulting director.

Finally, Dave Rowell has been appointed as director of the firm’s cyber security practice, completing the 60 years of combined experience at PwC that the new directors bring to their respective roles.

Claire Reid, regional leader at PwC Scotland, said: “This year’s director promotions illustrate the strength and depth of talent we have at PwC in Scotland, with each of the new directors having proved themselves to be exceptional at delivering the support our clients need at such a challenging time for businesses.”

With the majority of appointees being women, Reid adds that she is “particularly pleased” to see initiatives such as Tech She Can bearing fruit for progress in “promoting greater gender diversity”.
