Mark Browning appointed Anesco CFO

Reading-based renewable energy company, Anesco, has appointed Mark Browning as chief financial officer (CFO).

He has over 15 years experience as a chartered accountant, spending a decade working for ‘Big 4’ accounting firm Deloitte. where he held technical and leadership roles. Immediately prior to joining Anesco, he was associate director of commercial finance and FP&A at software company Mavenir.

Browning joined Anesco in 2017 as assistant finance director, before being appointed to become finance director in 2019.

He has been appointed to CFO with immediate effect and also joins the company’s board of directors.

As CFO, he will work closely in each area of the business to drive growth and the transformation agenda, which includes asset sales expansion into new markets and financial structures.

Browning said: “As CFO, my core focus will be on providing value for all stakeholders, including delivering on the new strategic direction of the business and helping to ensure quality service and strong returns are achieved for our customers and investors alike.”

Mark Futyan, Anesco CEO, said: “Mark has proven himself ready for the challenge of leading Anesco’s finance function and I can think of no better candidate to work alongside as we forge ahead with the company’s next phase of growth.”
