Haysmacintyre grows charity and corporate teams with partner and director promotions

Chartered accountants Haysmacintyre has announced the promotion of four colleagues to senior management roles: Steve Harper and Christopher Cork to partner, and Emma Maile and Siobhan Holmes to director.

Harper joined Haysmacintyre in 2016 with over a decade of experience in the not for profit sector. He leads the firm’s engagement with international charities and also specialises in service delivery charities and education-related charities.

He also runs its seminar programme for international charities, and he is the editor of the International Charity Financial Benchmarking Report. Harper is also is a trustee and treasurer of two charities which brings a “wider perspective and empathy” with the sector to his work.

Cork is a specialist in Haysmcintyre’s media, technology and financial services sectors. Working closely with scale-up privately backed enterprises through to listed groups, the firm said he has developed a “detailed understanding of the financial pressures faced by these businesses and specialises in guiding them through the challenges they face”.

He is also a lead member of Haysmacintyre’s Americas region international desk, working closely with clients and investors on both sides of the Atlantic.

Maile who takes up the position of director, specialises in the hospitality sector after training and qualifying with Haysmacintyre.

The firm said she has built a “strong presence” within the hospitality industry and prides herself on her relationships with both her clients and contact base. As well as acting as audit principal on audit engagements, she has worked with many of her clients on other financial transactions such as due diligence (both purchase and vendor), restructuring, and forecasting projections.

Meanwhile, Holmes joined Haysmacintyre as a trainee in 2011, specialising in the not for profit sector since qualifying in 2014, and holds the ICAEW Diploma in Charity Accounting (DChA).

She is actively involved in audit and related advisory services and works with a wide variety of not for profit entities and has a particular interest in general charities and education.
