AXA UK and Ireland appoints new CFO

AXA UK and Ireland has announced that Roland Moquet is set to join its team as chief financial officer.

Prior to his appointment, which is subject to regulatory approval, Moquet held the same role at AXA Italy.

Prior to moving to AXA in 2005, Moquet worked for the French Treasury in 2005. He has since held various positions within the global insurance group, and was previously CFO of AXA Tianping in China.

After joining AXA Italy, he was “heavily involved” in the launch of its 2023 business strategy.

He will now replace Amelie Breitburd in the role. Breitburd acted as CFO for AXA Asia prior to moving to the UK and Ireland team.

AXA UK and Ireland chief executive, Claudio Gienal, said: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank Amelie Breitburd for all her support, not just at AXA UK and Ireland but across her many years in the group. I wish her every success in the future.”

“I am also pleased to welcome Roland, who will bring operational experience and strategic thinking to his new role.”
