Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO has appointed a new partner to its corporate tax practice.
Julia McCullagh will join the firm’s Baker Street office in London as part of the international corporate tax team.
She previously worked for PwC in both the UK and US, and later spent five years working in-house within the consumer goods industry.
In her new position, McCullagh will specialise in helping clients manage all tax aspects of their UK and overseas operations, including cross border operating models and transfer pricing.
BDO said that her expertise “spans across industries”, and she has a “particular focus” on the pharmaceutical sector and consumer markets.
McCullagh said: “BDO has a fantastic network of tax specialists both in the UK and internationally so I am excited to build relationships with my new colleagues and further grow the skillset of the team.
“We are seeing businesses facing increasingly diverse and complex international tax challenges. I look forward to helping BDO’s clients respond to these challenges and ensure they are fit for the future.”
